This exquisite carved mahogany mirror was originally purchased from Stair Galleries. Featuring beautifully carved flowers, the oversized wood frame surrounds a round beveled mirror.  Some minor wear and separation of joints but in excellent vintage condition overall.

The Radiant mirror, shown here, was inspired by an age-old Vietnamese craft of  applying strands of mother of pearl on a black lacquer ground and then sealing the application in multiple layers of clear lacquer.  The end result is a mirror that shimmers with reflective light.

Swedish hand-hammered brass mirror, by metalsmith, Malin Appelgren Paulsson. Malin learned this skill from her grandfather, who designed sconces for King Gustav V, in the early 1930's. Using her grandfather's makers stamp, Malin creates a simple, yet sophisticated mirror.

Shells are arranged as petals of a 45-inch round flower. It starts with small shells at the mirror's edge that get larger, up to 12 inches, as they radiate out from the mirror's center. This mirror is feminine, organic, modern, and dramatic. The layers of organic shells give the mirror an approximate depth of 6".
