Moroccan wall sconces, made from a set of three intricately carved wooden objects used by travelers in North Africa. These pieces could have been used to construct a carrier mounted on the backs of camels for transport and then disassembled and used as tent stakes when camping. 
We had fun with repurposing them, having them made into three individually unique sconces.

Purchased in Paris, this unusual mid-century modern metal wall sconce is truly one of a kind.  Featuring a faux bois metal back plate, the two bulb fixture seems more futuristic than mid-century.  The bulbs play prominently in the overall aesthetic; each framed by an organic shaped metal disc.
