This delightful teacup and saucer is designed by Deborah Sears of Isis Ceramics, Oxford, England to look like an authentic piece of 18th century ceramic.  The company draws on a combination of fine white earthenware and natural pigments to hand-produce and hand-paint the historic-like scenic patterns. Between the years 1946 and 1950, Austrian designer Carl Auböck II had established a cult hero following among his contemporaries for his work on smaller household and office objects—like the ashtray, silent butler and ice tongs shown here.  Each item is stamped "Auböck" and sold separately.
